The job

An intense freelance project, racing against the clock to bring about a total shift of tone and presentation for international leaders in mobile advertising, Vungle.

I was part of a freelance team put together specifically to manage, create and drive the rebrand, taking Vungle from corporate bore to relatable partner. This consisted of a new website, new Tone of Voice Guide, new Brand Book, new social media approach – new everything.


The process

I crafted the new Tone of Voice guide from the ground up, writing every word and proposing initial design ideas that were later refined by our design team. I went on to collaborate with an external agency, contributing to the Brand Book that formed the core of the rebranding effort.

For the new website, I penned the content, working alongside international teams to guarantee thoroughness and consistent use of the new Tone of Voice.

Moreover, I wrote social media posts, launch materials, promotional materials, and ventured into copy for outdoor campaigns, encompassing taxi fireflies, convention posters, and even giveaways like bottles, T-shirts, and notepads. In short, I spearheaded the written content throughout the entire rebranding journey.


The outcome

The whole rebrand was done in just a few frantic months. We successfully wrote, designed and launched the new website, ToV, Brand Book and other rebrand materials and rolled it out globally, on time, and on budget. Complete success despite huge pressures.

A very challenging and exciting project. To be an instrumental part of a huge, international rebrand came with a lot of responsibility. Fantastic experience and a real pleasure to be at the ground level of a new brand.
